Good bye 2010

From what I remember of 2010, it was a pleasant year except for the month of December. Let's see, the good.. I've meet tons of new people, well not tons, but enough to expand my circle a bit. This is all due to grad school, since I gotta see the same people everyday, I must interact, thus I've met these entertaining people who's made my lab life fun, so thanks grad people. I've interacted with some friends from h.s. who I haven't seen in a while, well only 3 of them, but it was nice seeing yous again. Hope you had a good 2010. Hmm... I learned to bake, well not learn, but I baked on my own for the first time and made a real meat dish on my own, too, so I can say I learned to cook a bit in 2010, self-improvement in 2010.
The not so good, I only have 11 blog posts this year, that doesn't even average to 1 post a month. Gotta post more and take more pictures. December was actually an okay month except in the middle, where some things happen that I wished hadn't, but it's too late now. Other than that, my 2010 was good except the part where my experiments in lab didn't work out, but I've complained about that enough to others, so I'll leave it at that.

Time waits for no one

Recently, I re-watched one of the japanese anime movies I like, "The Girl who Leapt Through Time" and the quote above comes from there. "Time waits for no one", it's really true, time really doesn't wait, 2010 just came and is almost gone like that in the blink of an eye. It seems like just yesterday that it was June 1st and I started going to the lab full-time, but it's already almost the end of Decemeber and in a few months time, I'll have to deal with the real world out there. "Am I ready?" is a question I need to answer, but I'll just answer it when I'm ready :)
Anywho, Christmas is almost upon us, I got my secret santa person her gift, so I'm set. I just got to learn to make something to bring to share. Shepherd's pie is what I will make, who doesn't like beef, potatoes and carrots? Now, I just have to get a recipe, and buy the ingredients, and make it, doesn't seem so hard.
Need to charge camera battery and finally give the new lens I got a work out. Until next time...

Happy November

Happy Late Halloween everyone! Jack O' Lanterns my housemate made, I think. Well, she definitely made the Totoro one, cause I saw her making it and she made pumpkin enchiladas with the pumpkin insides. Not sure where the other one came from. (Yeah, the pics are a little underdevelop and they're look nicer with candles in them, too)

Today, we finally opened the heat at our house, cause it was cold enough. I had to wear a hoodie and a jacket. So, to celebrate us opening the heat for the first, we had ice cream (the damned ice cream's been mocking me for a long time now, every time we go to Pathmark, it's on sale and I never buy it cause it's cold out, but I get the last laugh. I get to eat ice cream with the heat on. Take that ice cream!) Edy's Apple pie and Mint brownie flavors. The apple pie ice cream was sort of bland, but there were apple pie pieces, and the mint brownie was good, minty and brownie-bits, yum. (phone-camera pic, not too pretty.)

-on the side note, I'm saving money for a telephoto lense. Got about 30 now, only 150 to go.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Been pretty busy lately with school, commuting to school and sleeping. Doesn't leave much time for other things, but I still have the weekends. I've been biking these past Saturdays since I started school, it's pretty fun. I get to go to all these places I've seen sitting in a car, now I get to travel there all by myself. I have loads of pictures that I need to upload from my bike adventures. When I get the chance.

Flushing Food-ventures

Yesterday, to be more exact, went to Chung Moo Riceroll & Dongas. Got kimbap, really yummy, should've gotten more. $4.50 for the whole box, I think it's pretty worth it.

Also got a lamb cumin bun from the Xi'an Famous Snacks stall at the Golden Shopping Mall. I finally see why people say it's good, cause it is. The bun is toasty, and thanks to some friends, I've come to enjoy lamb a bit more. I'm a bit embarrassed by this picture. I was walking, eating and trying to take a picture, the results, blurry picture=bad idea. Didn't do it justice.
